Hi, I’m Penelope Love. I am a publisher, editor, and designer with eighteen years in the industry. Since 1997, I’ve contributed my expertise to major publishers, national news websites, and even a top U.S. foundation. As a teacher, consultant, and speaker, I have guided scores of writers from inspiration to publication.
Once an editor for the original Chicken Soup for the Soul publisher (HCI), I can now stand by your side throughout the intricate publishing process. As chief editor of HCI’s magazine, I worked with such notable authors as Don Miguel Ruiz, Ned Hallowell, First Lady Betty Ford, and others. I’ve proofread for newspapers, national magazines, and Barnes and Noble’s publishing division. To date, I am the editor of more than twenty-five books, including a self-published title that was later picked up by a traditional publisher—and the author received a generous advance! My edited books have been endorsed by best-selling authors including U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Dr. Benjamin Carson, Jack Canfield, Ram Dass, Dr. Larry Dossey, and Dr. Fred Alan Wolfe.
An independent publishing consultant since 2005, I’ve helped dozens advance their careers by publishing books, blogs, newsletters, and bylined articles in magazines and professional journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association. My clients benefit from my industry knowledge, eye for detail, original designs, and state-of-the-art methods for integrating books and websites that lift books to the peaks of publishing success.
A native New Yorker living in South Florida, I received an M.A.M.C. (Master of Arts in Mass Communication) with honors from the University of Florida and a B.A. in English (Phi Beta Kappa) from Stetson University. My refined combination of industry experience and creative insight can assist you with any book project at any point in your writing process and career.
